The Grimm has the upper hand because Blake's focus in the scene is not on fighting the monster, it's on making sure Ruby gets up. And it's fine if people would have preferred watching Blake beat up that Grimm on her own, I get it it would have been safer, maybe, to focus on killing the Grimm and then on helping Ruby. But really like the concept driving the whole scene it's not about winning one on one fights Blake is an excellent fighter, she has nothing to prove to herself o
