Eustreptospondylus Eustreptospondylus was discovered in 1870 in England by British Brick Pit workers. The remains were given to British geologist John Phillips, who described the bones in 1871. The skeleton transferred through several hands and received several names until 1964, when the name Eustreptospondus was given to the creature by British paleontologist Alick Walker. Eustreptospondylus was a medium sized theropod, only measuring at 18ft long, and tall. It was a megalosaur that lived in Late Jurassic England.
